Today it became clear that Furusjøen Rundt, which was awarded the Norwegian Championship and UCI Marathon Series in 2020, has been canceled.

The race was to be held on July 11, 2020, but due to the situation and the guidelines, it is not possible to arrange the race.

Furusjøen Rundt does not want to move the race to a later date in 2020, as this will clash with other planned events, but Furusjøen Rundt will instead try to become organizer of the Norwegian Championship and UCI Marathon Series in 2021.

The Federation (NCF) are now working to find alternative organizers for the Norwegian Championship Marathon for 2020 and more info will come soon.

• We have eagerly been waiting for NCF's orientation to give us an opportunity to arrange this year's adventure in Rondane, Furusjøen Rundt. Unfortunately, the answer was that it is not possible for us to arrange this year and it is with great disappointment that we have to cancel this year's race, says Ole-Petter Brendstuen, CEO Kvam IL and Furusjøen Rundt AS.
