It will not be a normal Furusjøen Rundt MTB race.
As a responsible organizer, we must adapt and arrange within the current rules for infection control.
The preliminary timeline:
Until September 1, it is not possible to arrange a larger event.
Sports activity must ensure that the infection protection is maintained:
We are awaiting a supervisor how the sport can adapt its activities to the new regulations.
This supervisor is prepared by a specialist committee with representatives from the Directorate of Health, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, the Norwegian Sports Federation, and several special associations. The supervisor must be ready by 11 May.
We are also expecting some more clarifications in the week to come, and that before 17 May we have enough information to know if, and possibly how, this year's Furusjøen Rundt MTB can be arranged.
We are still cautious optimists!

With the current situation, registration for this year's MTB and run is currently postponed.
We hope and believe that there will be a clarification from the authorities in early May, in relation to cultural and sporting events for the summer and autumn.
In the meantime, we plan as it will be Furusjøen Rundt MTB (and run) also in 2020, currently with the dates set.
We open the registration for Furusjøen Rundt MTB and run when (if?) the situation permits.
We are cautious optimists.
During the Furusjøen Rundt MTB last year, Ken Roger Wahlquist from Sport 1 Vinstra (photo at the top) tested the e-bike over 70 km.
The test was successful, he reached the finish with still some battery capacity.
With that experience, we now see the opportunity to offer our own class for e-bike of 70 km, 32 km and 12 km.
We will provide more information about Ken Roger's bike ride, and how he cycled the ride over 70 km to make the best use of the battery's capacity, when we know more about the other events in May.

The Furusjøen Rundt Ski runs on Saturday 15 February and has three distances;
Everyone who is registered for the Furusjøen Rundt Ski, by midnight January 5 2020, is part of the draw for a cabin weekend at Rondablikk Hytter.
Cabin weekend can be booked in any period during 2020, subject to availability. The winner of the cabin weekend will be contacted.
In addition, 30 consolation prizes, Blue Swix, will be awarded among all participants.
The consolation prize is distributed with your BIB in the Race-Office.

With Rondane National Park as a neighbor, Kvamsfjellet is one of the country's most popular cabin areas.
Rondablikk Cabins consists of several free-standing cabins centrally located with a road all the way to the cabin. Here are great hiking opportunities all year round, marked trails in the summer, and well-prepared trails in the winter.
The cabins are of a high standard and are located in the same area as Furusjøen Rundt has their arrangement.
The cabins have a minimum of 10 beds, and have fully equipped kitchens and living/family room with in-flow electricity and water, bathroom/WC. In several of the cabins there is also sauna and wifi.

Kvamsfjellet and surrounding areas offer a variety of outdoor activities such as good fishing on several mountain lakes, experience real farm life, rafting in the river Sjoa. You can also rent canoes, boats and bicycles. At Sukkertoppen and Furusjøen - there are very nice and "warm" resting places! In winter, we go cross country skiing on 100% nature snow in well-prepared trails that extend to both Mysusæter/Høvringen and Sødorpfjellet.

Internationalisation is a key theme for the Furusjøen Rundt races.
We are happy to be a part of the UCI MTB Marathon Series for 2020.
As host for the UEC MTB Marathon European Championships last year we know that our mountains offer spectacular opportunities for MTB disciplines.
Considerable efforts have been made to use trails, tracks, terrain, and altitude to create a course of international standard.
We wish you all welcome to Furusjøen Rundt MTB Marathon 11 July 2020.
Registration will open during March next year.
